This month’s Product Pulse covered the latest Mailchimp product updates, experiments, and upcoming releases to help you stay ahead of platform changes and better support your clients.

A major focus was on automation enhancements, including new e-commerce and SMS triggers. The highly requested “contact joins a segment” trigger is now rolling out, along with additional SMS triggers that enable more dynamic, behavior-based follow-ups.

Email updates included a unified template gallery (email and SMS), more flexible template selection (with or without prefilled content), and an early version of a template converter that allows importing designs from other platforms into Mailchimp’s editor. The new sections manager also introduces a more modular way to build emails and sets the foundation for reusable content blocks in the future.

For analytics and reporting, Mailchimp is moving toward more intelligent, built-in insights. A new AI-powered Analytics Agent (currently in limited release) can summarize campaign performance and suggest optimizations. At the same time, comparative reports have been retired in favor of custom reports, with continued improvements—like segmentation—coming soon.

Additional updates included improvements to domain authentication delegation, a more robust Calendly integration, and continued enhancements to popup forms—with AI-assisted form building on the horizon.
